Green-thumb Ambassador / Part-time retail salesperson

We are seeking a fun and upbeat part timer to join our team at our retail location in Bethel Park. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plant care and retail, with excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Duties:
Help oversee the care and health of plants by performing routine plant maintenance
Help organize shop layout, displays, and merchandising to reflect seasonal changes/new arrivals
Help unpack shipments, must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physically-demanding tasks
Provide plant advice and assist customers with plant and product choices and trends
Foster a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty and repeat business
Work outside in various weather conditions during festivals and on-site opportunities
Skills Needed:
Technical Qualifications:
Can work a POS system and a Mac computer. Shopify knowledge is a plus
People Skills:
Enjoys working with people, building relationships, and creating a welcoming environment for both the team and customers
Plant Knowledge:
Doesn’t need to know every Latin name, but should have an exceptional interest in houseplants and a willingness to learn about their care and share that knowledge with customers
Attitudes/Behavior
Positive attitude and ability to encourage other team members
Time / Priority Management:
Ability to manage time effectively. Shows up when scheduled
Pay & Hours:
- Starting at $15/hr with potential to grow
- 15-18 hours a week
