Espostoa Lanata or AKA Old Man Cactus

This columnar cactus is from the desert that spans the Peru-Ecuador border. Covered with dense and soft white spines that some locals use to stuff pillows, this species tends to produce flowers in a lateral cephalium along one or two ridges. Those flowers tend to be funnel-shaped and reddish-purple.
