The rabbit’s foot fern gets its name from the fuzzy "rabbit-foot-like rhizomes that grow on top of the soil. The rhizomes will sometimes grow over the side of the pot, adding some funsies to the pot/plant. The rhizomes absorb moisture and nutrients as they crawl across the moist soil, so do not bury the rhizome when repotting (this will cause rot).
