Trumpet Pitcher (Sarracenia)

Indigenous to North and South America, Trumpet Pitcher plants thrive in bogs, swamps, wet meadows, and savannas. These plants use nectar to attract insects, luring them to the top of the pitcher where they meet their fate in the liquid pool below. The plant then consumes the insects with enzymes secreted within its leaf.
